Choosing Your Veil - Part I

Choosing Your Veil - Part I

You have chosen the perfect dress. Yay! Done. Pure relief, joy, excitement,  anticipation.  Now, accessorize....what about a veil? How long? How short? Fancy or simple? Uggh! Stress again...but don't stress, we are here to help you.

The following step by step process will guide you to the perfect veil to complete your wedding look, with confidence and joy!

1. Consider your dress style: The veil should harmonize with the style of your wedding gown. If your dress has intricate detailing or embellishments, opt for a simpler veil that won't overshadow the dress. Alternatively, if your dress is minimalistic, you can choose a more elaborate veil to add drama.

2. Length of the veil: Veils come in various lengths, such as fingertip, chapel, cathedral, and more. Longer veils like cathedral or chapel length tend to create a more formal and dramatic look, while shorter veils like fingertip or shoulder length can be more versatile and easier to manage.

3. Match the color: Ensure that the veil color matches your dress color perfectly. Most veils are available in shades like white, ivory, champagne, or blush. If you're unsure, consult the bridal salon or boutique where you purchased your dress for recommendations.

4. Consider your hairstyle: Think about how you plan to wear your hair on your wedding day. If you want an updo or intricate hairstyle, you may want to choose a veil that can be easily attached or positioned to complement your chosen hairstyle. On the other hand, if you prefer to wear your hair down, a veil with a secure comb or clip might be a better option.

Stay tuned for part II.........
